Baseball in October

For the first time in years, I am actually optimistic about the Dodger's chances this postseason.

My predictions:

Dodgers over Mets
Padres over Cardinals
A's over Twins
Yankees over Tigers

World Series prediction: It will be 1988 all over again - Dodgers over A's.

I realize as I write this that some games have already been played. I can honestly say that these were my predictions two days ago.

I wonder how much money Kent had on the game yesterday the way he blew it for him. I'd like to see what you think of my predictions on the mvp, etc races on my site

Blew it for the Dodgers I mean.

What do you expect? He's an ex-Giant.

I put my 2 cents in on your site.

You have 2 cents?? More then I

Good thing we don't make money with predictions

You're right on that. For some reason, I am consistantly bad at baseball predictions. I'm usually pretty good in other sports but with baseball, it's just so hard to tell who is going to get hot.

Best moves on Football: Bet against UCLA and USC. USC reminds me of UCLA last year and that they find ways to win. Sooner or later that won't work.

In an earlier post, I predicted USC will finish 8-4. I'll revise my prediction and say they will go 9-3. I don't see them beating Cal, Notre Dame, or Oregon. The coaches and media who do the polls were crazy to rank USC so high. They lost too many real good players. You're right, it's going to catch up with them.

Being unbeaten I think USC is ranked properly until they lose. I think they will beat Notre Dame but Cal and Oregon are tough. One thing to their advantage is the games are all at home.
